Write Ups

Arkansas vs Michigan

The Arkansas bats have been ice cold this weekend against Kansas State and TCU. They should see a more favorable pitching matchup today but I’m not sure it matters right now. Michigan will have a tough time scoring here with Gage Wood starting for Arkansas. I lean under and Arkansas.

Alabama vs Ohio State

Both teams have played well in Jacksonville this weekend. Alabama will likely become a ranked team with a win here. Bobby Alcock will get the start for the Tide but watch out for the Ohio State bats. The Buckeyes will be out of pitching, however they have managed 16 runs across 2 games in this tournament. They dropped a tough one yesterday to Coastal. Lean Tide.

San Diego vs Arizona

Arizona squeaked one out last night to take a 2-0 lead in the series. Talented freshman Smith Bailey will get the ball. He tossed a solid 4 innings last weekend before the bullpen collapsed. San Diego will roll out Andrew Mosielo, whom struggled last week vs TCU. The Toreros also burned their two best arms last night. Lean Arizona to sweep but San Diego should be hungry for their first win of the season.

UC Irvine vs Texas Tech

The over at 13.5 sailed yesterday. I was looking to go back, but the books opened at 17.5. I’m not surprised, as these two can light up the scoreboard in a hurry. Texas Tech is throwing Jack Cebert. Cebert started game one last weekend in UNC and did not make it past 3 innings. UC Irvine is throwing Trevor Hansen. Hansen did a solid job of keeping Vandy off the board last week. Lean UC Irvine & under with it being that high.

Oklahoma vs Virginia

I’m excited to watch LSU transfer Cam Johnson go up against this struggling UVA offense. Johnson was the best HS LHP in 2023. Virginia is starting a talented freshman in Tomas Valincius. With how the UVA bats have performed the last two weeks, the under is a play here. Both pitchers have good enough stuff to keep the offenses off balanced.

NC State vs Coastal Carolina

Similar to a few other teams, NC State has struggled to hit the ball this weekend. The Wolf Pack were shutout by Bama and only managed 3 runs against Ohio State. Riley Eikhoff will go for Coastal and offers a ton of experience on the mound. Ryan Marohn will go for NCST. I think there is a little value with NC State here, but that offense has been brutal to watch. Dudan and Consiglio will be ready to go out of the bullpen. Lean NCST and under.
