After being swept at home by VT, Wake responded well last weekend taking 2/3 @ Florida State. Before Tallahassee, Wake had struggled overall on the road. The Demon Deacons average 9.4 runs / game, which is tied for 12th in the country. Chris Levonas will be earning his first weekend start. The freshman was a big time recruit and has flashed upside in their midweek matchups. UNC will be going with Jake Knapp. Knapp has been outstanding and is fresh off a 7 inning outing against Duke. UNC’s offense has been questionable recently; however, the Tar Heels have only allowed 4.2 runs per game this season, which ranks 10th in the country. I do believe Wake has the offensive edge here, but I’ll side with the pitching, defense, and home field advantage.
