Terrible luck with Xavier blowing the lead and Minnesota / St Thomas ending in 7 innings. Unfortunately I placed it on CZR so it was graded as a loss.

Texas @ Arkansas

The Longhorns have put up an impressive 38-5 record (19-2 SEC) which leaves little doubt to their #1 ranking. Texas has also suffered a few injuries this season but it really hasn’t affected them. I do believe this weekend will be the toughest test to date for the Horns. They have been fortunate in that their best opponents to date (LSU, UGA, Auburn, A&M) have all been played in Austin. Their road weekends have consisted of matchups against Mississippi State, Missouri, and Kentucky. Schlossnagle had high praise to Baum-Walker Stadium saying this will be a test unlike anything his team has seen this year. Thursday’s matchup will be Zach Root vs Ruger Rojas. Rojas slid into the Friday role last weekend with much success and will be asked to pitch another day early for this series. I believe Arkansas has the advantage in this series. It has been a rough few weekends and the Hogs desperately need a series win here. I still believe Arkansas is one of the best teams in the country. The atmosphere will be a huge test for Texas. I was surprised to see Arky open -180 for game one but hopefully it will trend down to a more playable range.
