Hello everyone. Hope all is well. The college baseball season has come to an end, but the MLB draft is coming up this Sunday. It is always a fun event to bet on. I was going to type up an entire mock draft, but did not find the time.

Here are my bets. I believe this is shaping up to be a wild draft. Everyone has heard rumors, but everything changes once draft night arrives. Lots of uncertainty across the board, which leaves some value.

I will update leading up to the first pick.

Pick 1: WSH

Kade Anderson +135

0.5u: Ethan Holliday +200

0.25u: Seth Hernandez +2900

With the Nationals firing GM and HC a few weeks ago, I believe they take the safe pick with Kade Anderson. Books agree, but it would not surprise to see a HS name shoot up the odds board tomorrow.

Pick 2: LAA

0.75u: Liam Doyle +400

0.5u: Kade Anderson +240

0.25u: Ethan Holliday +1200

If the Nationals elect to not take Anderson, I believe the Angels will hop on the opportunity. If not, I would take Liam Doyle. Doyle opened +400 here before soaring to a heavy favorite. Holliday is worth a sprinkle. Eli Willits is worth the sprinkle.

Pick 3: SEA

0.25u: Jamie Arnold +700

0.25u: Seth Hernandez +700

0.5u: Any other Player (Bremner, Willits (+250)

The sportsbooks seem to believe SEA will go with Hernandez, as he has soared to become the favorite. I could see them taking Willits, but he is not listed on books. I snagged good value on Hernandez but would not lay at current price. I took Arnold early, but would lay off now. Arquette is worth a look at +170. I would lay the u3.5 option instead.

Pick 4: COL

No bets, likely Holliday if he is still available.

If Holliday is unavailable, Liam Doyle is worth the sprinkle at +1000.

Pick 5: STL

I wish offs would become available for this pick. I am a STL fan, and this is the highest draft pick in a long time for the franchise. For the first time, future GM Chaim Bloom will be in charge of making the selection. Eli Willits fits the STL player profile pretty well. I am sure they are hoping for one of the college LHPs.
