Big week! Missed the UCLA / UNLV over by half a point and Texas tried to cover on the final drive but fumbled inside the 10. We will take it.
Let’s carry the momentum into week 3. I will have the card published soon.
Notes:
- Florida ?? I know South Florida is a good team, but that is an inexcusable performance at home. Florida found no groove offensively the entire game and allowed an easy game winning drive to set up a chip shot FG. Now the Gators have: @ LSU, @ Miami, Texas, @ Texas A&M, Miss St, Georgia, @ Kentucky, @ Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State. Good luck, Billy.
- South Florida has the best 2-0 resume in the country. Alex Golesh has done a tremendous job. They will have another opportunity against Miami this weekend before beginning conference play.
- OU handled business. Tough spot for Michigan with freshman QB. Mateer Heisman stock 📈
- Missouri is a good team. They stayed together despite falling behind early. Beau Pribula is exciting to watch. Border War lived up to the hype
- Duke could be okay if they cleaned up the carelessness. They moved the ball well, but penalties and turnovers killed them against Illinois.
- Big win for Baylor.
- Another year, same story with Iowa’s offense. Cyclones are the team to beat in B12.
- Terrible loss for Kansas State. Army is not very good. KSU desperately will need a win this weekend against Arizona.
- Diego Pavia and Vanderbilt dominated Va Tech in the 2nd half to a 44-20 win. Vanderbilt will travel to SC to open SEC play.
- Alabama may have woken up. We will get a decent look Saturday against Wisconsin.
- Cowbells are still ringing in Starkville. Big win for Jeff Lebby. Mississippi State is not the push over from last year.
- I wouldn’t not worry about the score from the Georgia game. They were never in jeopardy. Survive and get to SEC play healthy. Dawgs defense is very fast.
- Kentucky put up a fight. They aren’t terrible but it may be a long year in SEC play.
- Clemson started slow against Troy before pulling away for a 27-16 victory. Tigers will head to Georgia Tech in week 3.
