B2B green weekends. What a start to the season! This pace is unlikely to continue the rest of the season, but let’s soak it all in while we can.
Alabama / Wisconsin had some pregame steam with the spread falling from -21 to -17.5 Saturday morning.
Numbers matter. Arkansas hits on the +10 but comes up short on the ML for our upset of the week.
Southern Miss crossed over the +3.5 Saturday morning, which caused me to add a little extra.

Notes:
- LSU’s defense forces 5 INTs from Lagway to stay unbeaten. The LSU offense needs to find its groove. Not sure if it’s there. Florida’s offense has struggled and now gets to face a good Miami defense. It has been a huge step back from DJ Lagway.
- What a game. Georgia / Tennessee lived up to the hype. Tennessee had their opportunities. College kickers, smh. The false start right before the kick making it longer also didn’t help. Aguilar carved up the Georgia defense with 371 passing and 2 TDs. Gunner Stockton answered a lot of questions. He made a huge throw to the endzone on 4th down when Georgia was down 8 with 2 mins left. Vols have UAB before needing to bounce back in a tricky spot @ Miss State in 2 weeks. Georgia has a bye this weekend to prep for the upcoming Alabama game.
- Texas A&M finally gets over the hump. The win a huge game for the SEC on the road @ Notre Dame. We invested in a Marcel Reed Heisman ticket before this game. I think he is now in the conversation. 0-2 start for Notre Dame with 2 close losses, but somehow still ranked in the top 25? Another loss removes them from playoff contention.
- The Tide’s offense has looked sharp the last two weeks. Wisconsin is not very good, but Alabama did what they needed to do. Ty Simpson is making plays. They have the best 1-2 WR combo in the country with Williams & Bernard. Bama will have a bye week before heading to Athens. A win in Athens would have this team right back towards the top. Investing in a ticket isn’t a bad idea, but I am sure the books have already adjusted.
- Vanderbilt is last year’s South Carolina. I believe they are a top 10-15 team that is being undervalued. Clark Lea has done a wonderful job. Diego Pavia can make plays. The defense has been really good. Do not sleep on Vandy. South Carolina has taken a step back on both sides of the ball.
- Miami sends a proper message to Florida ahead of their Week 4 matchup. Beck and company dominated USF and appear to be a legitimate national championship contender. Miami’s defensive line is legit. With Clemson’s slow start off, the Canes control the driver’s seat in the ACC.
- Texas offense?? 27 points vs UTEP. Arch was 11/25 for 114 yards. The offense was elite all of last season. Arch and Sark need to figure something out. If not, the Longhorns will find themselves in a few tough situations come SEC play.
- A tough loss for Clemson. The Tigers were given multiple opportunities to win that game, but never capitalized. The offense looks brutal. Brent Key continues to succeed at Georgia Tech. The Jackets are underrated on the market.
- Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss hang 41 with a backup QB. Trinidad Chambliss was an impressive 21/29 for 353 passing yards while running for 62 yards and 2 TDs. Arkansas offense can compete, but defense has issues. Taylen Green is one of the more dynamic QBs in the country. Tricky spot for the Hogs this week @ Memphis, off a close conference loss and Notre Dame coming to town next weekend.
- West Virginia bounces back with a backyard win over Pitt. I am kicking myself for not being on this spread.
- Missouri looks really good. Beau Pribula and Ahmed Hardy look unstoppable on offense. The defense is really good as well. Tigers rank top 10 in most offensive and defensive stats.
- SMU continues to regress as they fall to 0-3 ATS. 28 points and struggled at times against a bad Missouri State team. They will need to find it before heading to TCU this weekend.
A few weeks 4 lines I have already locked:
Tennessee -37.5
North Texas +3
FIU -3.5
James Madison -9.5
ECU +8.5
The rest will be published on Wednesday.
