Another positive week to keep it rolling! Due for regression at some point this season, but let’s keep it going.
Week 5 will be published on Wednesday. For any questions, you can reach me on X: @ WR_Bets.
Notes:
- Oklahoma State was a terrible Friday read. Tulsa bullied them the entire night. Everything was out of sync. OSU should give Alex Golesh from South Florida a call after Gundy is canned.
- Memphis with a huge come-from-behind against Arkansas. The Tigers’ 18 point comeback is the largest in FBS this season. Their win probability dropped down to below 5% at one point. Memphis is now the favorite to represent the G5 in the CFB Playoff. Sam Pittman’s seat is getting hotter at Arkansas. He will have another chance against Notre Dame this week.
- Texas Tech sits as the stand alone favorite to win the B12 after a road victory over Utah. Raiders dominated, averaging 4.7 YPC compared to 3.3 YPC from the Utes. Tech offense has always been explosive, but they may have the full package this season.
- I wish I had stuck to my original lean and played Maryland. The Terps will be giving Malik Washington a raise this offseason. Wisconsin has an expensive buyout if they wish to can Fickell.
- Clemson’s season is officially over. The Tigers were torched on both sides from the beginning of the game. Klubnik hasn’t developed. Dabo has no other choice but to overhaul the roster in the portal this offseason.
- As predicted, Michigan had huge success running the football against Nebraska. Needed road win for Michigan. Huskers have a manageable remainder of schedule.
- Tough luck for Auburn, but hard to expect to win a game in which Arnold was sacked 10 times. Refs have got to be better.
- Ahmad Hardy with another dominant performance on the ground as Mizzou escapes SC at home. LaNorris Sellers looked better for SC.
- Florida’s offense is laughable. That first half was hard to watch with the constant 3 and outs. Once again, the defense did everything they could to give them a shot. 61 passing yards for DJ Lagway. Miami has handled business. Best D-line in the country. Canes have a bye this week before a huge ACC matchup in Tallahassee.
- IU dominance. Hoosiers rushed for 312 yards while holding Illinois to 2 total rushing yards. Fernando Mendoza’s 5 TD passes skyrocketed him into 2nd place in the Heisman Trophy odds.
- Vanderbilt revenges last year’s loss to Georgia State with a 70-21 win.
- Arizona State walks it off on the road against Baylor with a last second kick. Sun Devils have a big home matchup scheduled with TCU for this Friday.
