Recap

W8: 12-11 (+0.38u)

YTD: 102-73-2 (+24.36u)

It was shaping up to be a nice day before dropping 4 consecutive on the late night slate.

The Tennessee / Alabama o58.5 was my worst beat of the season. Tennessee had 3 opportunities to send us over, but failed each time.

Auburn had their chances but they find a new way to lose each week.

Duke shot themselves in the foot multiple times. The game should have been a closer out outcome. Blue Devils had 441 yards of total offense compared to 376 from Georgia Tech.

Had some really good reads on Boise/UNLV o61.5, North Texas -4, FIU +10.5, Oregon -14.5, Georgia Southern -6.5, Ohio -11.5, & LSU/Vandy o47.5. All cashed relatively easy.

Notes

Big Ten may be stronger at the top, but the SEC is much much deeper. Complain about being in bed with ESPN all you want. A SEC / Big Ten CFB Challenge like they do in basketball would be a good solution.

Miami had their slip up. Jeff Brohm and Louisville had a great game plan and executed.

Georgia Tech is 7-0, their best start since 1966. The schedule has been favorable for the Yellow Jackets but they are winning the games in front of them. They should finish at a minimum 11-1 and with a chance at the ACC championship.

Vanderbilt sits at 6-1 after a win against LSU, their best start since 1950. It is wild to see Vanderbilt compete like this in the SEC. Clark Lea has done a great job. Diego Pavia has been popping up in Heisman conversations, climbing up 4th in odds.

What a catch from Tulane game to keep their playoff chances alive.

Michigan dominates Washington in the big house, holding the Huskies to only 40 rushing yards. QB Demond Williams was contained.

It was a tough Saturday for my fellow Tennessee fans. Vitello news and then the poor showing against Alabama that night. (From my sources, I think Vitello stays). It is one thing being outmatched, but I am tired of being unprepared and undisciplined in these games against top SEC competition. Coming out in the same formation post-timeout right before the half was obviously a terrible decision. Josh Heupel has to make adjustments. I would be firing DC Tim Banks and bringing on another offensive mind to help with offensive play-calling in the offseason. The season is far from over. Regroup and focus in on beating Kentucky. Wins against Oklahoma and Vanderbilt will have you in the CFB Playoff.

What a game between Georgia and Ole Miss. Kirby Smart’s mid-game adjustments continue to be the best in the country. QB Gunnar Stockton was perfect in the 2nd half: 12/12, 135 yards, 3 TDs.
