It finally happened, the first negative week of the season. The late games have not been kind to me the past two weeks.
Ohio allowed the back door. SMU missed an extra point that eventually cost them. Ole Miss / OU started with an unreal pace before slowing down in 2nd half. Iowa State collapsed in the 2nd half. We all saw LSU’s 2nd half.
Week 9 Saturday morning leans finished 6-1.

Oh well, let’s bounce back this week.
Week 9 Notes
Memphis outscored South Florida 17-0 in the 4th quarter to pull off the huge win. It was a great bounce back for Silverfield after the terrible UAB loss. Tulane is now the favorite to win the American Conference.
Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Indiana are all borderline locks to make the playoff. According to DraftKings, 8 other teams are favored to make it. It is wild seeing Vanderbilt that high on the board.

Brian Kelly is fired. LSU becomes the best job on the market. Kalshi has Lane Kiffin as the favorite to land the job, followed by Tulane’s Jon Sumrall. Bills OC Joe Brady and Louisville’s Jeff Brohm also pop up on the list.

Texas A&M & Indiana continue to roll.

The Heisman race is coming into form. Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza leads followed closely by Alabama’s Ty Simpson and Ohio State’s Julian Sayin. Texas A&M’s Marcel Reed and Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia continue to climb. I am pulling for Marcel Reed due to my +3500 ticket from early September.
Alabama survives a road scare against South Carolina. They will have a much-needed bye week before taking on LSU.
The Texas defense struggled, allowing Miss State to have 8 plays of 20+ yards. Their unit had only allowed 15 20+ yard plays before Saturday. The offense finally showed some life. Arch Manning finished with 4 total TDs and 346 yards passing. We did see those Steve Sarkisian rumors on Saturday morning…
Joey Aguilar has been a great story for the Volunteers this season. He picked Kentucky apart all night, posting 20/26, 396 yards, and 3 TDs. All three WRs (Brazzell, Matthews, Staley) managed over 100 yards. Neyland at Night is coming up against Oklahoma.

Early Week 10 Bets (Posted on Action)

Auburn -9.5 -110
