2/13 Recap:

What a wild opening slate.

I believe 6 top 25 teams opened their season up with a loss.

We ended 8-6 (-0.15u) and I will take it after everything that happened.

• Florida walks 10, makes 3 errors, and a few bad base-running decisions.
• Troy loses on a walkoff HR
• Louisville’s high powered offense just didn’t show up.

It could have been better. It could have been worse. Let’s have a Saturday.

2/14 Bets (May add. Still working on a few plays)

Southern Miss / UCSB u11.5 -115

• Same reasoning as yesterday. I like what both of these feature on the mound. Grayden Harris and Nathan Aceves are two good starters that should be able to keep this low scoring.

Kansas State ML -118 (FD)

• Kansas State’s offense hammered the baseball yesterday. This team is undervalued.

Nebraska ML +115 (CZR)

• Nebraska looked good yesterday. The Huskers mercy-ruled a solid UConn team and saved their bullpen. Northeastern was mercy-ruled by Grand Canyon.

ULL ML -118 (FD)

• I believe the Ragin Cajuns bounce back today at home. Andrew Hermann is an experienced starter on the mound. I expect ULL’s lineup to be solid this season.

Oregon State -130 (CZR)

• Ethan Kleinschmidt Day. The Beavers collected 9 hits yesterday, but only manufactured 3 runs. Arizona’s Smith Bailey is a good arm. However, their bullpen is without Pluto and suffered heavy usage last night.

1.5u: Louisville + Florida + Wake Forest +102

• Bounce back day.

Vanderbilt + WVU +110

• Tech’s lineup has potential, but Vandy’s pitching should be able to hold them in check. Tech doesn’t have much on the mound and Vandy played solid outside of the bad throw. WVU dominated yesterday. I do not believe Georgia Southern is very good.

Houston -160

• Houston looked solid yesterday. Boston College had the late night game and now has to turn around for a 1:00 ET first pitch.

Iowa / Air Force o13.5 -115

• Two teams centered around their offenses. Air Force managed 15 runs while leaving 12 guys left on base. It helps when Penn State makes 5 errors. I expect Iowa to score some runs tonight.

Arkansas / TCU u11.5 -115

• Hunter Dietz and Mason Brassfield were two pitchers projected for a breakout season. I would also lean Arkansas ML. TCU had to use the bullpen yesterday. -110 is available on B365 but I had already locked on DK.

1.5u: Arizona State +100 (B365)

• I am not sure what this line is. I’ll take the Sun Devils at home against Omaha at +100 any day.

Gonzaga +200 (FD)

• I am high on this Gonzaga team in the WCC. Hawai’i walked them off last night, but the Zags held their ground. Erik Hoffberg will get the start. He was named to the preseason All-Conference team. I’ll take my chances with +200.

LSU -5.5 -120

• The bats finally decided to wake up yesterday. I expect it to carry over today.

Oklahoma State +100 CZR

• Bedlam! I am sure Oklahoma will be a popular pick today after their win yesterday, but I lean the Cowboys. Mario Pesca for OKST will get the ball and I expect him to have a good season after throwing well down the stretch. LJ Mercurius will get the ball for OU. He is a UNLV transfer that has a mid to high 90s FB that can rack up strikeouts. However, he had a few games where he struggled with walks, including his first start of the season against Oregon State. I believe OSU has the slight lineup advantage.

These plays are no different than the ones of my card. I am only listing these for people that do not want to bet a large card.
