• It sounds like Casan Evans will return from injury to take the mound tonight against Auburn. Evans produced a 6.27 ERA prior to injury, but was had some unfortunate luck. His SIERA sits at a solid 2.86. Jake Marciano will go for Auburn.. Mariano has been nails all season with a 2.74 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 2.30 SIERA. I am sure Evans will be on a pitch count, but LSU will one of their best relief arms available in Zac Cowan. This will be Auburn’s first game so they are completely rested.
• The downside of playing this under is through 7 games in Hoover, we have seen 5 go over their total and 25 total HRs. I believe the broadcast said there was 20 throughout the entire tournament last season. Are the balls juiced? This ballpark has played as a pitcher’s park for years, so I am not going to allow 7 games scare me away.
