Oklahoma continued their hot streak with a 9-3 win over UNC in game one. The Sooners are one win away from clinching their first national championship since 1994.
UNC vs Oklahoma – Game 2
- UNC was 20-0 when scoring 2+ runs in the first inning. They are now 20-1. UNC failed to score another run after putting 3 on the board in the bottom of the 1st. Jake Schaffer collected 3 of the team’s 7 hits. They will need a few guys to step up today. Ryan Lynch will get the ball for the Tar Heels. Lynch made it 4.2 innings in his last start against WVU. He did a good job of limiting damage. However, he only posted 2 strikeouts which was a season-low. UNC will need a big start from him today. Caden Glauber will be available if needed. I would have honestly started Glauber here and saved Lynch for a potential game 3. I think there is a chance OU jumps out on Lynch early, which would put UNC in a difficult situation.
- Oklahoma’s lineup is on fire from top to bottom. Yesterday it was Deiten Lachnace. Lachance left the yard twice becoming the third Sooner to hit multiple HRs in their last two games. The big 3 hole had zero homeruns through 31 games this season. He has since hit 18 in his last 34 games. Lachance, Jason Walk, Camden Johnson, Jaxon Willits, and Dasan Harris all recorded multiple hits yesterday. UNC did a good job of pounding the zone, Oklahoma just hit it. Xander Mercurius will get the ball for the Sooners. The freshman had hit best outing of the season last time out against Georgia.
- This may be our final college baseball game of the season. The Sooners are on another level. UNC has came back to win series after dropping game one, including supers against USC. For the total, every day game has gone over besides OU / Alabama. Every night game has gone under. I am not sure why UNC remains a decent favorite. I believe UNC’s bats show up today, but Oklahoma finds a way to pull it out like they have all postseason. 7-5 Sooners.
My bets:
Oklahoma +120 DK
Oklahoma / UNC o9.5 -113 FD
I don’t hate the idea of adding OU -1.5 at +190 on DK.
