3 of my Sunday bets moved multiple points. Use your best judgement with the current number available.

Air Force +6.5

Tennessee -8.5

Auburn -29.5

Friday – September 11th

Missouri -4.5 -112 FD

  • Kansas is a trendy underdog pick this week, but I like the Tigers to win the Border War on the road.
  • Both teams debuted new QBs with strong Week 1 yardage against weaker competition. (Missouri 562, Kansas 613).
  • Missouri will still be without star RB Ahmad Hardy. However, star OT Cayden Green will be returning. RB Jamal Roberts lit up KU for 143 yards on only 13 carries in last season’s 42-31 win.
  • Kansas was preseason projected to be a bottom 5 team in the Big 12. They did rank 39th in returning production, but I believe they are at a disadvantage in the trenches. Isaiah Marshall looked good in game one but will have learning pains against a stout Missouri defense. Austin Simmons should have success through the air against this Kansas secondary. Mizzou 27-20

Saturday – September 12th

Oklahoma -5.5 -105 DK

  • Yes, Oklahoma is a square play but I do not care. There are -4.5s available.
  • After watching Michigan’s offensive struggles against Western Michigan, I have no idea how they find success against OU’s defensive front. Bryce Underwood struggled and will now have to face one of the best units in the country.
  • The only way I see Michigan winning this game is if they can force Mateer to turn it over multiple times. Last year’s Michigan game was Mateer’s breakout with OU. He tossed for 270, added 80 yards on the ground, and was the Heisman favorite after this game.
  • Maybe Michigan benches Underwood at some point and begins to find success but I am not banking on it happening. Oklahoma 24-10.

East Carolina -7 +100 DK

  • There are now -6.5’s available so shop around. This is a buy low spot for ECU after getting blown out in Tuscaloosa last weekend. The spread opened at -11.5 before dropping like a rock. App State looked solid, but it was against Maine.
  • ECU will compete in the trenches here. I give them the advantage with the skill positions as well. They are ECU’s last win against App St was in 2012. I believe they will be ready to go in front of a home crowd. ECU 34-24

Virginia Tech -18.5 -113 FD

  • I know it was against VMI, but VT looked really good. Franklin is on a mission and the fan base has bought in.
  • Old Dominion was projected to be competing for a Sun Belt title, but they did not look good in week 1. The Monarchs beat Norfolk State 31-10 in a game where they were 40 point favorites. The only tossed for 137 yards and Norfolk competed in the trenches. They rushed for 182, but QB Quinn Henicle was the leading rusher with 68 yards.
  • VT QB Ethan Grunkmeyer looked good. Everything was clicking offensively for the Hokies. Enter Sandman continues to roll. 38-10

Georgia -40.5 -108

  • Everyone posting the Kirby ATS as 38.5+ point favorites is awfully quiet this week. Georgia dominated Tennessee State 63-3, scoring 28 points in the 2nd half.
  • We also cashed in last week by fading WKU. Nevada rushed for 323 yards in a 49-14 blowout. WKU’s defensive line is not good and will be completely overpowered once again in this matchup. It doesn’t get any better for the Hilltoppers next week as they will head to Indiana. Georgia 51-6.

Syracuse -2.5 -108 DK

  • Syracuse was hammered on release. They are now sitting at -3.5 across most books. Shop around and you may be able to find a -3.
  • Steve Angelli 4-1 as a starter at Syracuse and has never lost in the dome. He returned from injury in week one and looked sharp. Syracuse is a different team with him under center.
  • Syracuse had one of my favorite offseason hires when they hired Vince Kehres as defensive coordinator. It is a work in progress, but he did a great job at Toledo.
  • California will be traveling across the country here. They were in the game against UCLA before surrendering 21 points in the 4th quarter. JKS tossed for 271 but also had 2 picks. The Cal defense surrendered 277 rush yards and received a run defense grade of 33.3, which was 2nd worst in the country.
  • Syracuse handled business last week against a terrible New Hampshire team. I like them to find success offensively against a poor Cal defense. Cuse 34-28.

Mississippi State -114 FD

  • This will be a game with opposite offensive approaches. Last season, Jeff Lebby and Mississippi State’s offense operated the 2nd fastest pace among Power 4 schools. PJ Fleck’s Minnesota offense ranked 59th among 68 P4 teams.
  • Minnesota could have an advantage in the trenches. However, Mississippi State has Kamario Taylor. If you have yet to watch, Taylor is an incredible talent at QB that can make plays with his arm and legs.
  • RB Fluff Bothwell only received 9 carries last week’s blowout and should be rested and ready to go.
  • Minnesota’s defense dominated Eastern Illinois, only allowing 110 total yards in a 59-7 blowout.
  • QB Drake Lindsay tossed the ball around and looked good. My only concern from week one for Minnesota is that Darius Taylor only averaged 4 yards per carry despite a long 27 yard run.
  • This will be a good game. It will come down to which team can make the other fall into their game flow. Minnesota is not used to playing fast and I really like Mississippi State’s athletes. Give me State in a close one 28-27.

Maryland / UConn u52.5 -110 FD

  • At Toledo, Jason Candle’s offense operated at a 27.0 seconds per play which ranked 87th nationally. QB Kalieb Osbourne looked great in week one, tossing for 265 yards while adding 90 with his legs. That was against a bad Lafayette team and Maryland’s defense will be a much tougher test.
  • Last season Maryland operated at a pretty fast pace. However, they did not hit on the big play often. QB Malik Washington does not throw downfield. He recorded an aDOT of 8.0 in 2025 which ranked 84th in the country. He did not take many shots downfield last week in their 62-0 blowout win over Hampton. UConn has concerns in the secondary, but Maryland does not have the WRs to take advantage.
  • Maryland only allowed 65 yards of total offense last week, which is just insane. UConn only allowed 209. Maryland 31-13.

BYU -7 -110 DK

  • This was another number I hit Sunday on release, but I still like the -7.5.
  • Noah Fifita has struggled against BYU with a 52% competition rate, 5 yards per attempt, 3 TDs, 5 turnovers, and only 3.5 seconds average time to throw. BYU’s game plan has been to hit him with pressure. Jay Hill is no longer BYU’s DC, but I would image the game plan stays the same.
  • On the other side of the ball, BYU is going to run the football. They ran for 312 yards last week despite giving star RB LJ Martin only 7 carries. He will be well rested for this matchup.
  • Arizona’s path to success is to force Bear Bachmeier into 3rd and long situations. BYU has questions at receiver. The Wildcats shut down Northern Arizona’s rushing and blitzed at a whopping 78.4% of dropbacks. If Arizona’s defense can stuff the run, they will stay in this game.
  • I like this BYU team. I believe they have a good chance of winning the Big 12 and making the playoff. Arizona was smashed 41-19 in their last trip to Provo and Fifita threw 3 interceptions. BYU rattles him again and wins this 31-21.

UTSA +2.5 -110 FD

  • Are you prepared for a shootout in San Marcos? With a 66.5 total, UTSA Texas St projects to be the highest scoring game on the week 2 slate.
  • Both teams will feature two of the best QBs at the G6 level in Brad Jackson and Owen McCown.
  • Texas State was dominated by Texas in week one, but managed 349 yards of offense. UTSA handled business against UTRGV but surrendered 422 yards.
  • UTSA is the oldest team in the country and has a roster full of experience. The Roadrunners have McCown, a great OL, and one of the best skill players at the G6 level in RB Will Henderson. I would prefer to back UTSA at the Alamodome but I believe they have more talent on their roster in this matchup.
  • I will trust my models and take UTSA on the road here in what should be a fun game to watch. Roadrunners 41-38.

UNLV / North Texas u58.5 -110

  • With Eric Morris at OK State, North Texas managed one of be slowest offenses in the country in week 1.
  • UNLV is a run-heavy team. They have had 40+ rushing attempts in each of their two games this season. North Texas held Indiana’s 2 RBs to only 3.13 yards per carry in week 1.
  • Historically these two programs have been known to engage, but that isn’t the case this season.

Vanderbilt / Delaware o54.5 -110

  • Vanderbilt’s offense first game without Pavia only posted 28 points against Austin Peay. However, they did manage 6.3 yards per play. Vandy will once again rotate QBs but I am hoping we see more of Jared Curtis this week. Lea clarified that Beelowitz will start and the hope is to get Curtis more action early.
  • Delaware QB Nick Minicucci led the CUSA in passing yards and total offense last season. He was also named 2026 preseason CUSA Player of the Year.
  • Vanderbilt’s defense looked solid against Austin Peay, but Delaware will put up a better fight offensively. The Blue Hens operated at the 27th fastest pace last season. Vandy will have success against a smaller Delaware defensive front. Vandy 38-21

Nebraska -28.5 -110

  • Bowling Green was torched against Tarleton’s rushing attack. Tarleton RB Tylan Hines had 250 rushing yards and 3 TDs on 26 carries. Now they will have to travel to Lincoln to try the limit the duo of Jamal Rule and Mekhi Nelson. QB Anthony Colandrea will also make plays with his legs.
  • Nebraska started a little slow last weekend against Ohio, but really settled in and even covered the -23.5 spread. Give me the Huskers in a home blowout under the lights. 41-10.

Georgia State +9.5 -115

  • Georgia State QB Cameran Beown looked great in week one. The Panthers hung 59 points in 3 quarters against NC A&T. The ran for 286 yards and averaged 7.7 YPC.
  • Kennesaw managed a 10-4 record a year ago, but six of those wins were one-score games. Their defense ranked 107th in tackling with six starters back from that group. This is a step down in competition, but I am not sold on QB Rickie Collins. He struggled at Syracuse last season.
  • I believe Georgia State is a live dog here. State 31-27.

Wisconsin -37.5 -110 FD

  • Western Illinois is not a good FCS team. Sagarin has the projected as the worst team in the OVC. Wisconsin should be able to hang a large number. I make it Wisconsin -44.5.

Tennessee -8.5 -110 FD

  • I bet this line during Georgia Tech’s game against Colorado. I would play it to -13.
  • Georgia Tech did not score an offensive TD in week one. Their lone TD was a kickoff return. Buster Faulkner is at Florida and this offense missed him last week. Alberto Mendoza’s play gave them a chance.
  • Per PFF, the Jackets finished with the worst run blocking grade in the country. Georgia Tech could not get outside in the run game which severely limited their offense.
  • Tennessee allowed 178 rushing yards to Furman, but most happened in garbage time. The Vols will be getting star LB Arion Carter back this week.
  • Georgia Tech’s defense allowed 199 rushing yards, missed 14 tackles, and generated no pass rush against Colorado. This is a huge problem against a Tennessee team that has a much better offensive line and rushing attack than Colorado.
  • Georgia Tech has to have a better performance against the run. If they somehow manage to slow down Bishop, they still have to generate a pass rush on Fazion Brandon. If Brandon has all day in the pocket, Mike Matthews, Ethan Davis’s and Braylon Staley will be wide open. As we saw in week one, Fazion can also beat you with his legs.
  • Will Georgia Tech adjust and find more success rushing the ball than in week one? Yes probably. Their backs are too talented. However, their defense was fortunate to only allow 14 points. I was discouraged with Georgia Tech’s overall performance on both sides of the ball. TN may run away with this one. Vols 38-20.

Texas ML -114

  • The main event is a top 5 matchup between #1 Ohio State and #4 Texas. This will be one of the biggest games of the season. Both teams are top 3 in national championship odds. Last year, Ohio State beat Texas in Columbus 14-7. Julian Sayin vs Arch Manning. Jeremiah Smith and Cam Coleman. Two elite defenses.
  • Arch Manning struggled for 3 quarters against Ohio State last season. Matt Patricia threw the book at Arch last season and did a great job of keeping him uncomfortable. A big performance under the spotlight would be huge for Arch’s Heisman stock.
  • Julian Sayin has experience in big games. Jeremiah Smith is one of the best WRs in the history of college football. In their two matchups (2024 playoffs and last season), Texas centered their defensive game plan around him. He has only finished with 7 catches for 46 yards and zero TDs combined across those two games. Ohio State had Emeka Egbuka and Carnell Tate step up in those two games. Do they have a WR that can do it this season? We will find out.
  • Texas was out gained on the ground against Texas State. The Bobcats had 161 yards and averaged 3.9 YPC. Texas averaged 4.4 YPC but did not use Arch’s legs and only handed it to Hollywood Smothers 10 carries.
  • Ohio state did not run the ball effectively against Texas last season, averaging only 2.9 YPC.
  • Which team has their secondary weapons step up? I believe Texas has one of the best skill groups in the country. We will need Arch to step up in the big game. I believe hitting Arch at 10/1 to win the Heisman isn’t a bad play before this game kicks. I believe Sark and Texas finally gets over the hump and wins a big time game on their home field. Texas 27-24.

Clemson -19.5 -110 DK

  • I completely understand why everyone wants to fade Clemson after last week’s performance. They performed terribly in a tough environment. They were breaking in a new QB on the road in a game that was delayed nearly two hours. LSU dominated them in every way.
  • However, Georgia Southern is no where close LSU. Southern’s defense played well in week one against a bad Charleston Southern offense. Their offense only managed 31 points. Dabo and the staff have heard the noise and he needs a blowout win. This line has been dropping all week and it finally reached the number I was willing to buy. Clemson 38-10.

Navy / FAU o58.5 -110 CZR

  • FAU’s offense operates at the fastest pace in the country. We saw it in week one against Florida where they had a 18.5 seconds per play.
  • With Horvath gone, Navy does not have the passing attack from a year ago. QB Braxton Woodson has experience in this offense and rushed for 200 yards in week one. They will be able to run the ball down FAU’s throat. FAU surrendered 7.5 YPC to Florida last week.
  • FAU will be able to throw the ball around in this game with experience QB Caden Veltkamp. Navy surrendered over 200 passing yards to a bad Towson offense last week.
  • This game was 42-32 last season with an explosive 4th quarter. I have something similar this season, but I give FAU. Much better chance of winning outright. The Florida heat should be cooled down a little by the time this game kicks off. FAU 38-34.

Auburn -29.5 -108

  • Auburn’s offense only managed 17 points against Baylor last week, but they still managed to operate at the 3rd fastest pace in the country. Byrum Brown struggled, tossing 3 INTs and was sacked 5 times. I believe they will find much more success both running and passing in this game.
  • Southern Miss QB Ethan Hampton looked inconsistent in week one’s win over Alcorn State. They will not be able to run the ball against Auburn and I don’t think he can take advantage of Auburn’s secondary.
  • Auburn’s offense clicks here and hangs a big number. I also like their team total o44.5. I would lay the spread up to 35. Auburn 56-17.

Air Force +6.5 -110

  • I was surprised to see this number was bet down like crazy on Sunday. Air Force was the team I was buying in the Mountain West and this sets up a great early opportunity to put themselves in a good position to win the conference.
  • NDSU is 2-0 with wins over Jax State and Fordham in the Fargo Dome. This will be their first road test.
  • Air Force is going to run the football. They rushed 69 times for 422 yards in their week one win over Duquesne. NDSU has been elite against the run in their two wins. However, Air Force will present a much larger competition in the trenches. QB Liam Szarka showed last season that he can throw and will likely need to in this matchup.
  • The Air Force defense looked much improved. They held Duquesne to only 107 yards.
  • At this price, I would play Air Force ML at a 0.5u. I am expecting NDSU to struggle a little bit on their first FBS road trip. Air Force 24-21.

Utah -12.5 -108 CZR

  • A SEC / Big 12 battle with two new head coaches. Both teams won in week one against FCS opponents. However, Utah dominated a decent Idaho team. Arkansas did not look good against a Northern Alabama
  • Last year they were top 5 in yards, EPA, and points per game. I know it’s Idaho, but Kevin McGiven had this offense looking like they did not miss a beat. We all know Devin Dampier, but he is surrounded by athletes. I really liked how this group looked in week one.
  • Arkansas struggled offensively against an average FCS team in North Alabama averaging 4.8 yards per play, a -0.035 EPA per play, 3.5 yards per rush, and 3 turnovers. KC Jackson had issues as a passer. The Hogs were a top 25 offense last season but looked nothing like it last week.
  • Utah’s defense has had a top 40 EPA per play every year since 2014 under Morgan Scalley. They only allowed 3.8 yards per play to Idaho with a 44% pressure rate.
  • I did not like what I saw from Arkansas. They had multiple issues that will not be worked out in a week. Now, they have to make a trip out West to Rice-Eccles Stadium where Utah is historically dominant. Utah handles business here and should control this game throughout. I would lean over as well. Utes 45-17

I have a few spot circled as potential adds Saturday morning. I also may end up bumping Utah to a 1.5u. Follow my Action page for real time updates.

Saturday Adds:

Oregon / OK State o54.5 -112

Alabama / Kentucky o48 -110

Fresno -17.5 -110

Hawaii / NMSU o50.5 -110
