Man, what a sweat in that TCU / UNC 1H under but we start the day 1-0.
I am adding a late night play. I also bumped Stanford and FSU to 1.5u
1.5u: Memphis / UNLV o55.5 -108
- Charles Huff takes over at Memphis after winning the Sun Belt conference championship with Marshall in 2024 and leading Southern Miss to a bowl appearance in 2025.
- Memphis has a complete overhaul of the roster with 70 new players. Both the offense and defense will be new faces.
- Kevin Decker joins Huff’s staff as OC after spending the prior three seasons at Old Dominion. This offense will be fast and explosive. ODU ranked 26th nationally in seconds per play last season and 13th in rushing yards per game. Huff’s offense at Southern Miss ranked 10th in seconds per play.
- Marcus Stokes projects to be the starting QB. Stokes was a four star prospect that had a standout career at D2 West Florida. Air Noland will also see time under center.
- UNLV has high hopes in Dan Mullen’s 2nd season at UNLV.
- Jackson Arnold and Alex Orji will both see time at QB. Arnold is a former 5 star recruit that had a falling out at Oklahoma and Auburn. Will he put it together with a step down in competition? Either QB can make plays with their legs, which makes a good fit in this UNLV offense.
- Jai’Den “Jet” Thomas returns behind a good offensive line. Thomas ranked 5th nationally in yards per carry among RBs with over 100 attempts. UNLV ranked 12th in rushing yards per game.
- I expect this to be the game of the weekend. With a roster overhaul, Memphis may take some time to find their footing but I really like their offensive coordinator. UNLV struggled in game one last season, but I expect Mullen to have this group prepared. UNLV wins in a shootout. 38-34.
